Graham Hewitt, Chairman of League of Friends, said: "The League is very pleased that the Club has chosen us as their Charity of the Year and we look forward to a close association over the coming football season. To have the opportunity of working with a Football Club that has served the local area for nearly 125 years is very exciting and it will help us continue to provide our much valued services to the community." League of Friends Administrator/Secretary

I am pleased to announce that we have appointed Christine Barker to the role of Administrator/Secretary. Christine has a wealth of experience gained over many years with large company organisations like Motorola and WH Smith and she has also been a House to House collector for the League over the last 15 years. We look forward to Christine joining the management team and helping us to continue delivering and developing our services within the community.

I am also very pleased to advise that as part of looking at the Administrator/Secretary role we decided to separate out the payroll element of the work as this is very different to an administrator/secretary role. In so doing Julie Zarczynski has agreed to stay on with us and will be responsible for running the payroll for our nurses, shop manager and Edna Dawes Lunch Club supervisors. Julie's continued presence with us is very much welcomed and it will also help make the transition to Christine much more seamless.

2015 House to House Collection

The Chairman of The League of Friends, Graham Hewitt announced at the recent AGM "I am very pleased to advise that we have so far collected an amazing £16,500 excluding gift aid. This is a fantastic result which is totally due to the hard work and commitment from all our collectors as well as the great support we receive from our local community. Well done and thank you every one".
