Lechlade Charity Shop Volunteers Needed

Can you spare three hours a week to help out as a volunteer for our Charity Shop in Lechlade?
We have a committed team of cheerful and enthusiastic volunteers that are great to work with but we do need more help.

Everything Friends of Fairford and Lechlade Communities does is for the local community but it can only be done if we have the funds and the volunteers to help us! If you think you can help please contact Debbie Ash (Shop Manager) on 07519 846765/01367 252189 or call in to the shop at Lloyds Bank House, Lechlade.

Volunteer Drivers

Please can you help people in the community to get to their medical appointments and join our volunteer drivers’ scheme? We cover over 17,000 miles a year providing approximately 700 journeys taking people in our community to their medical appointments at hospitals and the local surgeries.

We need more volunteer drivers to help with this service. Costs incurred are covered. All our drivers are required to undertake a DBS check.

Volunteer House to House Collectors

Our annual House to House Collection is one of our major fund raising events of the year. In 2018 we raised over £19,000. This is only made possible by the hard work of our volunteer co-ordinators and collectors who deliver and collect envelopes from every house in Faiford, Lechlade and the surrounding villages.

With the new housing in both towns we urgently need more volunteers.

We also have opportunities to help at the Edna Dawes Lunch Club.

If you think you can help with any of these volunteer vacancies, please contact Christine Barker on 07767 408409 or email
